It appears that the so-called "programmatic reasons" are turning out to be "political reasons" after all. Well, okay, I'd accept reasons of a "theological program," and that of a very dubious, unLutheran program in nature.Anyway, read Mollie's post over at Augsburg 1530. And, by the way, tell me if this doesn't sound just a little bit like those news stories in which a control hungry, tin horn dictator of a foreign land holds (stages) elections in which everyone votes for him, and no one votes against him. That's what the subject of Mollie's post brings to my mind!
