Here's a little taste of the article to whet your appetite:
On Friday, April 11, Faith Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas hosted a banquet in honor of “Issues, Etc.,” the live radio call-in show formerly aired on KFUO-AM out of St. Louis, Missouri that was hosted by Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Pastor and Dallas native Todd Wilken.
More than 60 gathered for fellowship and food and to raise funds to support the host/producer duo affected by the cancellation of this show. Aside from money raised at the banquet event, many additional donations were expected to be collected soon afterwards from members of the church and others in the surrounding community. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans’ Care in Communities program agreed to give grant money to a portion of the funds raised in order to provide additional financial support. More than $5,500 was raised through these efforts.

Thanks, Amy. I saw your comment on Pr. Weedon's blog, so I added the other link on my blog.
Thank you very much for a most excellent story and a faithful narrative of what's happened with Issues, Etc.!
Excellent story, and so glad it included the statements and so many quotes extolling Issues, Etc. and Wilken and Schwarz.
Thanks for that.
Susan
Wonderful article!
How fantastic to see Todd's parents and pastor interviewed...Todd is a very special guy, and I'm sure his parents and church have played a big role!
Thank God for the church rising up like this. The Pr. Wilken and Jeff Schwartz have handled this adversity is a testimony to the mercy found in Jesus Christ.
Pr. Asburry, please pray, I'm trying to figure out a means to raise awareness and eventually funds for Pr. Wilken and Mr. Schwartz at our church.

You're in my prayers. Just remember to give the facts, and let people's sense of "fair play" and justice take over. I think this stuff is really that simple. People can easily see the senselessness of two workers being fired and not given a reason. They can also see the injustice of a radio show--the show that made the most money for KFUO--being canned for supposed money reasons, as if that one show should be held responsible for the money losses of other shows and for the mismanagement of the radio station itself.
Well, I'll quit rambling. God bless, and you're in my prayers. Just stay with the truth, and our Lord of Truth will see to the rest!
Sharathon begins today.
David Strand will portray every dollar given to KFUO as a vote in favor of his decision to cancel Issues, Etc.
