Calling all Followers

I've just added the little "Followers" widget to the blog. You'll find it just below the icon of Christ on the left-hand side. (Yeah, I know, Blogger suggests putting "Followers" at the very top, but I just couldn't rob Christ, or at least one of my favorite icons of Him, from the top spot.)

So, sign on to follow, and we can all see who's joining us in the reading and conversing.

Okay, so I'm ignorant. How do we become followers officially?

Anastasia,

Just click on the "Follow this Blog" link, above the pictures. Then Blogger will give you the option of following publicly (with picture shown) or anonymously, click "Follow" and that's it (as far as I can tell).

Hey, if it's simple enough for me to figure out, I'm sure you'll have no problem. :-)

Okay, done!

Speaking of that icon of Christ, do you remember where you got it? It's really striking.

Dennis,

I sure do remember. I found it at monasteryicons.com. It's the Christ Wall Medallion.

Thanks for the answer on the icon and the web site.

Hi Pastor Rasburry!

This "Follower" thing is cool!

By the way, how's my friends Porthos and Gimli?

Hi, Christine! Thanks for becoming a "follower" of my blog.

Your buddies Porthos and Gimli are doing just fine. They're a couple of lazy bums these days, just sleeping on the floor next to my desk here. In fact, at this very moment, they're both curled up next to each other, heads together and almost looking like Siamese twins as I glance down at them.

They are also learning to speak on command. Until recently they'd only "speak" (bark, howl, carry on) when they'd think they heard something, either inside or outside, to which they'd just have to react. But now, they're learning to speak on command, especially when the training treats are involved. Hopefully, soon I can get them to speak, as opposed to scratching the door, when they want to go outside or come in.

Aha, with training treats the spiffy Beagles will have it down in no time! Worked beautifully on my male Shar Pei and female Shar Pei/Beagle mix (sounds like a wacky combination but she's a real cutie).
